Miscreants will be at the front of the room all year. Seating Arrangement There will be a teacher- assigned seating chart, which will change at the beginning of each quarter. Miscreants will be at the front of the room all year.

Behavior for Entering the Class Come in quietly Put homework in the appropriate box No running, pushing, etc. No charging bulls, runaway trains, or tag-you’re-it.

Behavior for Leaving the Class Leave only when dismissed by the teacher Exit quietly and in an orderly manner

Format for Heading Papers The following information must be on all papers and in the upper left-hand corner: Given name and surname Date Class period Papers missing this information will not be accepted.

Procedures for Turning in Completed Work All work must be placed in the appropriate box before the bell rings. No late work accepted on daily assignments, including but not limited to, definitions, Daily Language Sentences and rewrites. BEING ABSENT THE DAY AN ASSIGNMENT IS DUE DOES NOT EXCUSE THE STUDENT FROM THE ASSIGNMENT AND/OR TURNING IT IN ON TIME. If a student is absent the day an assignment is due, he/she may sent the assignment with a parent or student. Assignments turned in early earn extra credit. Late work on major assignments will earn half credit if turned in the day after the due date. No credit will be earned after that time.

Procedures for Going to the Restroom and/or Requesting a Drink of Water Please don’t ask. Students are not allowed out of class. Use break time between classes to take care of these functions.

Procedures for Going to the Clinic Bring a signed note from home to the office for permission to leave. Nadalee will list excused students on the faculty bulletin. If not listed on faculty bulletin, the office will be contacted before permission to leave is granted.

Procedures for Sharpening Pencils and Requesting Supplies Students are responsible for providing their own paper, pencils/pens, etc. Neither a borrower or a lender be. Pencils are sharpened BEFORE class. Sharpen two, so you have a spare. Students are not allowed to leave their seats to sharpen pencils during class.

Tardies Students are to be in their seats by the time the tardy bell rings. “In” means: bottom flush with seat—not half-way down. Students who are tardy are required to sign the tardy log. A third tardy will result in ASD.

Make-up Work One day for each excused absence for full credit. No late work accepted otherwise
