Heroes’ Square (Hősök tere)
History A well, designed by Miklós Ybl was in its’ place in 1894 In 1895, the constructions of the Milennial Monument were begun and it was completed in 1906, for the memory of the Conquest of Hungary It was named „Hősök tere=Heroes’ Square” in 1932 During the WWII it was seriously damaged During the communist regime, its’ statues were almost fully replaced From 2002, it’s a part of the World Heritage Site (UNESCO)

History It was built between 1872 and 1876 1855 it was named after earl Gyula Andrássy In 1896, the constructions of Underground No1. were begun From 1988 to 1996 it was completely renewed
