The impact of not having an address Physical impacts of not being warm and dry Medical Respite Housing – need for housing so that homeless individuals can be safely discharged from the hospital. Story: members delaying needed surgery because they have nowhere to go home to once discharged. One woman who delayed the breast cancer surgery she needed.

JCC Homeless Services & Housing Shower & Laundry Trailer Drinking Water Heather’s Haven and Starting Strong Apts. Hope Village Homeless Services - Shower /Laundry Trailer: Available every Friday. Provides a rare chance to shower and have clean clothes – opens opportunities for employment and services by reducing discrimination based on hygiene and increasing self confidence. Water: supported Rogue Retreat providing water during the summer when it was consistently over 100 and there are very few places for people to get free water. Water fountains are turned off, restaurants charge for a cup or show them the door, get a ticket for drinking out of a hose on private property. Housing – Heather’s Haven: Funded Rogue Retreat taking over this property in 2015. Now two houses that can house and provide case management to 10 women who would otherwise be living on the street after exiting a recovery program. RR has seen this stability play a crucial role in preventing relapse helping the women move on to independent, healthy lives as well as ensuring the investment that was made into their treatment, $5k to $15k. Starting Strong Apartments: 2 units - For women who are coming out of recovery and are pregnant or have children under 3 yrs. Case management.
