Welcome to the North Family of the San Diego Church of Christ Come and see what God has done Faithful living in the heart of North County We’re an imperfect people following a perfect Savior .

Relationships . Matthew 28:18-20;

A Committed lifelong learner and follower What is a disciple?   A Casual listener A Convinced listener A Committed lifelong learner and follower .

What does it mean to Follow Jesus? Matthew 4:18-22; What does it mean to Follow Jesus? Radical abandonment for the glory of Christ Matthew 4:12-17; Matthew 5:3, 10; Matthew 13:44-46; Matthew 19:21-30; Luke 9:23-27; .

We leave behind ALL things.: We live for one thing…To honor the King The Cost… We leave behind ALL things.: Our comfort. Our careers. Our possessions. Our position. Our families. Our friends. Our safety. Ourselves. We live for one thing…To honor the King .

American Christianity is radically self centered The contrast: American Christianity is radically self centered Biblical disciple making is radically God centered! A disciple has a Radical dependence on the grace of Christ! The Process: He takes the initiative to Choose us He provided the power to Use us. He gets the glory Through us. Our prayer is that God would make us a trophy of His grace .

Follow ME - Radical adherence to the person of Christ. The essence of Jesus’ method: No formal school. No seminaries. No membership classes. No highly organized procedures or formulas. Jesus was his own school and curriculum. The implications of Jesus’ method. We are free from legalistic ritualism. We are focused on building individuals, not an institution. Making disciples of all nations. .

Radical trust to the Authority of Christ! He is master of every domain in our lives. He is Lord of every detail in our lives. Radical obedience to the Mission of Jesus Christ.: The unconventional plan of Jesus. The unhesitant response of disciples. The ultimate question for the church: Will we obey his plan, his last words? Will we follow Him so that we can say to others, “come follow me as I follow Jesus!” .

Consider the cost of discipleship? Will we follow Jesus? Consider the cost of discipleship? Consider the cost of non-discipleship?: For Us For our communities For the world!! Come Follow ME Jesus says….. so should you! .
