The Harding Administration Scandal Warren G. Harding was the 29th President of the United States and the time he was in office was through March 4, 1921 to August 2, 1923. Harding is one of the most popular Presidents, but he has been subsequently exposed to scandals under his administration. Harding scandals refers to controversy in Harding's presidency; cabinet filled with friends and associates; leased oil reserves for money -> secretary convicted of bribery and jailed.

Teapot Dome Scandals - President Warren G. Harding Harding Administration scandal in which Secretary of the Interior Albert B. Fall profited from secret leasing to private oil companies of government oil reserves at Teapot Dome, Wyoming, and Elk Hills, California.

Ohio Gang Scandal - President Warren G. Harding A group of poker-playing, men that were friends of President Warren Harding. Harding appointed them to offices and they used their power to gain money for themselves. They were involved in scandals that ruined Harding's reputation even though he wasn't involved. Basically the Ohio Gang were gang of politicians and industry leaders that were surrounding President Harding. During his administration most of the Gang members became involved in financial scandals. Which includes the Teapot Dome Scandal and apparent malfeasance at the U.S. Department of Justice. In result many members committed suicide and some in jail.

Republican economic policy The united states was led by three republican presidents during the 1920s, namely warren harding, calvin coolidge and herbert hoover. They all wanted to leave the government alone and they adopted a laissez-faire (free market) policy.

Herbert Hoover 1874-1964 Herbert Hoover was america's 31st president took office in 1929 the same year the u.s. Economy plummeted into the the great depression. As the depression deepened, hoover failed to recognize the severity of the situation or leverage the power of the federal government to squarely address it.

“Silent Cal” Coolidge “Silent cal coolidge” was named “silent cal” for his quiet, steadfast, and frugal nature. He took office in 1923, following the sudden death of president Warren G. harding. He is a former Republican governor of Massachusetts. Calvin Coolidge was born july 4, 1872

“Silent Cal” He rapidly became popular in 1924, as the beneficiary of what was becoming known as “coolidge prosperity.” He polled more than 54 percent of the popular vote. Coolidge was looked at as the most negative and remote of presidents, and the most accessible. By the time the great depression came, coolidge was retired.
