Our unit using TEDTalks . . . ? Your homework this week will be to watch 4 TED TALKS and take notes on each one. You will be assigned groups and will choose the same videos to watch this week. Your group will spend 10 minutes during the class period each day to share your thoughts. You will choose one person each day to present your findings to the class. In class we will watch one TED Talk each day and analyze them. You will brainstorm topics that you are passionate about and plan a TED Talk of your own.

TED is not the only game in town Ignite are a series of talks, available online, that are somewhat similar to TED Talks. Presenters get 20 slides and five minutes to make their point. It’s somewhat similar to Pecha Kucha presentations. The topics do not appear to generally be as wide-ranging as TED Talks, and seem to be more “geeky,” but some look pretty interesting. Big Think has over 600 engaging interviews with “thought leaders.” In many ways, it is similar to TED Talks.
