Tips for an effective resume, letters of recommendation and college essay Use Guidance Direct to create your resume. See your counselor for your username and password. Give your resume to the teachers/counselor writing your letters of recommendation. Contact two or three teachers, coaches, counselors, or administrators to request a letter of recommendation. Please give the writer at least two to three weeks to complete your letter. Keep deadlines in mind and communicate clearly when the letter is needed. Access English teachers to improve your college essays. Some English 12 classes will incorporate this into the curriculum.

CHS College & Scholarship Application Procedures Communicate! The counselors provide necessary documentation for your applications that must be provided in a timely fashion. Keep us in the loop! Apply online, it is YOUR responsibility to notify the counseling office by the next school day. Apply on paper, it is YOUR responsibility to bring the completed application and fee to your counselor for processing. Know your application deadlines and give teachers and counselors time to complete their part of the application.
