Bilateral research collaboration Sweden – Tanzania, 2015–2020 Avtalsnivå 1. Stat till stat = Sverige-Tanzania som är ett formellt avtal om utbyte av information. Inga medel ingår Avtalsnivå 2. Sida med tanzaniska samarbetspartners på myndighetsnivå d.v.s. tre universitet och ett forskningsråd. I dessa avtal avtalas alla medel. Avtalsnivå 3. Tjänsteköpsöverenskommelse som Sida har med svensk myndighet = Uppsala universitet om koordinering av svenska samarbetspartners till de tanzaniska parterna (medel allokerade i tanzaniaavtalen men utbetalas av Sida). Avtalsnivå 4. Avtal som Uppsala universitet i sin tur har med de 29 svenska institutioner som har samarbete med de tanzaniska institutionerna (medel allokerade i tanzaniaavtalen men utbetalas av Sida till Uppsala universitet/ISP som vidareförmedlar till de svenska institutionerna). 22 August 2017

Bilateral research collaboration Sweden – Tanzania, 2015–2020 To act as a focal point for communication and information exchange between Swedish research program/project coordinators and the Tanzanian overall coordinators, the Swedish Embassy and Sida in Stockholm. To have regular contacts with Swedish supervisors and researcher for discussions on project implementation. 22 August 2017

Bilateral research collaboration Sweden – Tanzania, 2015–2020 To (in agreement with the Tanzanian coordinator) inform the Embassy on possible delays and deviations in the program and measures to avoid them. To provide both academic as well as administrative advice for the overall development of the program. Participate in Annual Planning Meetings (APM) and Review Meetings (ARM) in Tanzania. APM: 2nd and 3rd week in May (for the next year) ARM: 2nd week in November (for the previous year) 22 August 2017

Bilateral research collaboration Sweden – Tanzania, 2015–2020 To coordinate additional requests for budget reallocations (other than the annual budgets) from Swedish partners. Assist the supervisors in solving problems that may arise in the collaboration. Assist in organising different activities of common interest to the program (e.g. workshops, training courses, self-assessments, conferences, meetings). 22 August 2017

Assist Sida/the Embassy in finding synergies between Sida supported programs in East Africa. Assist Sida/the Embassy and evaluation teams in evaluations of the program. 22 August 2017
