5 ideas for audio visual media product Unit 16 5 ideas for audio visual media product

Idea 1: procurator 2-3 episodes a month https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ej8-Rqo-VT4 A series over set over a year Basically a series of someone's life and job Frequency The opening sequence of Dexter Inspiration A montage of someone's day Form and style Idea 1: procurator drama Genre The whole sequence will be made up of loads of close up of the person (preferably a man) doing his morning routine moving all the way up until he gets to work. The scene will represent him as posh and upper class as he is a lawyer with a load of money. The opening sequence should represent him as having a sense of OCD which is carried out in his work as well as high class with the equipment he will be using. Target audience Form and style Loads of close up shots and a few mid shots makes the sequence personal to the audience

Idea 2: 5 TO 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aW3LEVGQ-lE New Girl The main character that is staring creates a bond with the audience alone by looking into the camera inspiration Comedy/ sitcom meaning genre Idea 2: 5 TO 1 Series of about 24 episodes spread out across the year Frequency Target audience 18- 34 olds, mix of male and female purpose By doing this it will increase the audience size over time more than a series all put on Netflix for example Style/ form Basic idea To entertain and to also make people relate and build a personal connection to the media text One long continuous shot with no cuts Watching in real time with no editing cuts About a group of random people who all sign up to an agreement to live together for a year for a social experiment for a university to see how random people make friends and can live together Purpose of the intro is to show people what the series is about as well as portraying the genre in a way

Idea 3: English Horror Story With scene from out side and in including classic horror film gimmicks' such as ropes from trees and swings swinging with no one on them. Horror For example sharp music tones and sudden jumps in the music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omu0lDUcMP4 American horror story opening sequences genre To show the genre that is trying to be portrayed in the actual series Inspiration Purpose Location The classic sort of gothic old house Idea 3: English Horror Story Unexpected sounds Would release the series weekly to keep people watching music Frequency Random noises No certain pattern to the music, all a bit mixed and unpredictable Target audience Fast paced editing lots of close ups Few mid shots Not very many wide shots Would gain more viewers overtime unlike a series that is put on air all at the same time 18-49 year olds due to graphic nature and horror Form and style Creates tension by making the actions on screen get up in your face Slow motion and speeded up shots Montage

Idea 4: JAMESON https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSbfo2l49Ec Wallander Crime/ drama Maybe a colour filter over the images with two bold colours showing for example Wallander Inspiration Genre The whole sequence will be focused around this man, with him walking through letters that are being spelt out on the screen. Maybe with other characters faces on the letters introducing them. There will be a main colour which will be brainstormed later in the process which best suits the rest of the TV series. At the moment it will be blue, sort of like a filter over the whole content. Idea 4: JAMESON Slow paced opening throughout the whole thing Form and style Montage Title spelled out with letters but when the letters pass across the screen it looks like a wipe is used content Target audience Just moving pictures of the main character with the letters being spelt out over him/ her 25- < 60 year olds For people who use the text for escapism Although the content will be based on true story's it wont be everyday story's so the public watching wont think of the text as real

Idea 5 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxtSZN8UQ-Y The killing Inspiration Idea 5
