Starter Look at this double page brochure spread What are your first impressions of the homepage? What is good about the homepage? What is not so good about the homepage? Are there any lessons to learn from this homepage?

Learning Outcome Know the common features which users expect to be present within a travel website Understand what makes a good travel website in terms of layout and expected content Understand how a brochure is constructed and the software tools and techniques used

Travel Agent Website A website is used by companies as an advertising / information provision medium They often include additional, media rich information to what can be presented aurally or in a brochure, Customers often feel more at ease browsing a website than being pestered by sales assistants in a shop Fly-A-Way Travel require a website to advertise their holidays Customers should be able to view special offers See multimedia clips of resorts Search for their ideal break Book their ideal holiday

Website Homepage You are tasked with the design and creation of only the home page for Fly-A-Way Travel What is a website homepage? The introductory page of a website, typically serving as a table of contents for the site Homepage Rationale
