Dr. Prashant Pradhan CTO, IBM India and South Asia Prashant is a senior executive at IBM with experience spanning IBM Research, IBM Global Services and IBM Sales & Distribution across multiple geographies. He is currently Executive Director and CTO for IBM India and South Asia. Prashant joined IBM in 2001 as a Research Scientist at IBM’s Thomas J. Watson Research Center in New York, after completing his PhD in Computer Science from State University of New York, Stony Brook. He received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from IIT Delhi in 1996. Prashant moved to India in 2007 on an international assignment, eventually moving to the India South Asia Business in 2008. During his tenure in India, Prashant has driven maiden deals for IBM India in key industry verticals including Telecom, Renewable Energy, Financial services and Smart Cities. Prashant is a recipient of numerous corporate and academic awards and honors. He has served as chairman, panelist and speaker in leading local and international forums, press and media.
