“Success is when opportunity and preparation meet.” Unknown

The student-athlete must reflect on BOTH their academic AND athletic goals. Does the college meet your academic goals? Do you need academic resources and support to accomplish your goals? Does the college make sense academically- Challenging yet within your reach! Does the college have the majors, areas of interest, programs, internships, etc. that you are interested in. Ask yourself key questions to establish your athletic goals. Do you want to play college sports? Why? Are you realistic about your ability…how do you know? How does the college program compare to your current club or high school team? Is this the right college for you if circumstances were to change athletically? …Did you create a Smart List? The Journal includes a Self-Reflection section for the student-athlete asking them key questions to identify their athletic and academic goals.
