Temple University Community Service Association General Body Meeting September 20th , 2017

Purpose of TUCSA “The purpose of this organization shall be to provide students with many opportunities to be a part of their community by engaging them in service projects that meet the needs and environmental concerns of the larger community…. our association aims to build empathy, compassion, independence, and determination within our members. we hope our members realize that just their individual actions can make a positive difference in the lives of others.”

What we do Volunteer work mainly in the North Philadelphia area Work with local shelters, churches, and community centers Collaborate with other student groups & off campus organizations Work with all age groups

Membership Dues & Our Point System $5 for Returning Members $10 for New Members Paid after meetings at our vendor table or Doug via venmo. Dues by October 4th. 1 point for meeting attendance 3 points for event attendance Top 3 volunteers each semester!

Event update: Mighty Writers Community Game Night Please join us as we host a community game night for high school/middle school students involved in the Might Writers program. Date Thursday, October 26th, 2017 4 – 5:30 PM Please see me after the meeting if you are interest in doing commitment-focused volunteer work with the Mighty Writers program.

Hurricane Harvey & Hurricane Irma Bake Sale Join TUCSA and NCNW at the View for a bake sale to raise funds for victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma All proceeds will be donated to AmeriCares, a company that has been donating supplies to victims of the recent hurricanes. Date and Location Wednesday, September 27, 2017 4:30 PM – 8:30 PM The View Lobby, 1100 W Montgomery Ave.
