Objective: To appreciate the rhythm of poetry; to do a choral reading of a poem Today we are going to read a poem called “Shore.” When a poet writes a poem they want you to have a picture in your mind as you hear their poem. I will read the poem first and I want you to close your eyes and see what kind of picture you have in your mind. After I read the poem once you will read it with me on the second time. I will divide you into two groups to read different parts. Remember to read the poem with rhythm.
