Peter Liashkov’s Statement on his small works on paper: Statement on works from Istanbul: My interest in Islamic Art and culture was triggered by a trip to Morocco when I was in my early twenties.  Subsequent visits to Syria, Jordan and Turkey gave birth to numerous drawings, paintings and prints.  I hope to produce more work in this vein in the near future.
