 Second Level – Recognizes chapters that go beyond baseline requirements with bronze, sliver, and gold “Chapters of Distinction” awards. Level 2 is the Chapter of Distinction Award. In order for chapters or sections to compete in level 2 they must complete level 1 and achieve the quality chapter award. Then based on the achievement of the standards earn a bronze, silver or gold award. Bronze and silver receive a certificate of recognition from the state association. This is for chapters that go beyond baseline requirements.

The gold Chapter of Distinction Award recipients receive: a banner similar to state championship banners (check with state director to see if they provide these to state winners) The100% advisor award program will change next year to the Gold Chapter of Distinction Award. So we will honor teachers for both recruitment of members as well as engagement of members. The 100% advisor reception will now become the Gold Chapter of Distinction reception. We will still have mega prizes and honor teachers who truly offer framework experiences for all students. This will also transition the certificate and pins that are currently given to 100% chapters. There will also be a special recognition at one of the sessions at NLSC. These changes are a direct result of teacher input and focus groups. The gold level will be a big deal as that is what we want all chapters to achieve and to receive recognition for on the state level.

Judging CEP applications Level 2 submitted applications are judged and determined to be a: Bronze Silver Gold Chapter of Distinction Gold Division – 300 - 240 points Silver Division – 239 - 165 points Bronze Division – 100 - 164 points
