October 31st by Karen Alexander Ogres and ghosts fly across the night Cats dressed in black, spring into sight Toothless witches waltz across the moon. Owls atop fence posts hoot WHO? WHO? Beasts and beauties beat upon doors Echoes of “Trick or Treat” soar to a roar Rest in peace! Halloween’s over! (and consequently so is October!)
