OCTOBER 31st By Karen Alexander
October 31st by Karen Alexander Ogres and ghosts fly across the night Cats dressed in black, spring into sight Toothless witches waltz across the moon. Owls atop fence posts hoot WHO? WHO? Beasts and beauties beat upon doors Echoes of “Trick or Treat” soar to a roar Rest in peace! Halloween’s over! (and consequently so is October!)
Ogres and ghosts fly across the night
Cats dressed in black, spring into sight
Toothless witches waltz across the moon
Owls atop fence posts hoot, WHO? WHO?
Beasts and beauties beat upon doors
Echoes of “Trick or Treat” soar to a roar
Rest in peace! Halloween’s over! (And consequently so is October!)
