The Water Cycle   Water is continually moving from the surface of Earth through the atmosphere in the three states of matter: solid liquid gas.
THE WATER CYCLE Water moves from the oceans to the atmosphere, from the atmosphere to the land, and from the land back to the oceans.

-Water Cycle- Journey of Roger the Raindrop 1. Evaporation 2. Condensation Sun dries up water on land and in oceans Water comes together and is stored in the atmosphere, clouds, snow, and ice -Water Cycle- Journey of Roger the Raindrop 3. Precipitation 4. Runoff/Collection Snow and ice melt, and it rains from the clouds Water runs down into streams and collects in the oceans

Roger the Raindrop Roger starts out with all of his friends as a part of the ocean He gets plucked away from his friends, scared, and is off on a journey He is now a part of a cloud that is very stuffy and he is squished Roger eventually falls out of the cloud and is very happy free falling He lands on top of a mountain and it is like a waterslide down to the bottom of the hills and ends up in a stream Continuing his adventure, he flows back to the ocean to be reunited with his fellow friends

Once upon a time there was a raindrop named Roger who had a best friend named Rocky who was also a raindrop . They lived together in the ocean with all of their friends. They all swam together in the ocean going all over the world. They saw all different beaches and knew many different fish and sea turtles. One day Roger and Rocky decided they wanted to see what the sky looked like because they had heard so many fairytales about the sun and the sky being so beautiful. Once Roger and Rocky reached the surface, Roger said to Rocky, “I knew it! The sky is as blue and beautiful as the ocean!” Rocky agreed. Before he could even respond, he looked up and there was Roger flying up and out of the ocean towards the fiery sun. He disappeared into thin air right in front of Rocky and shifted form as he elevated into the sky. Rocky was sad that his best friend had evaporated into vapor towards the sun. Roger was off on a journey though the water cycle. He flew up into a cloud and saw other raindrops he had known. After a few days of being in the cloud it was getting so crowded and condensed the cloud formed bigger and bigger and darker and darker. The cloud could not contain so many raindrops, Roger was being squished so tightly that he dropped out of the bottom of the cloud and many more raindrops followed his example to spread out. Once Roger was out of the cloud he turned into precipitation, a rain drop again, Roger fell fast towards the Earth. He landed on a steep mountain and kept falling, sliding down the steep earth where he finally landed in a stream.

As he ran off the earth into the stream he gained new friends and they all collected together and traveled down the stream until they reached the ocean. From there they swam around until Roger found Rocky again and they were reunited. Roger introduced his new friends to Rocky and they all swam around the ocean just as they used to and lived happily ever after.
