Samilia Foundation in brief Brussels based NGO Created in 2007 to raise awareness about trafficking in human beings (THB) for sexual exploitation in Belgium Today’s focus: THB for labour and sexual exploitation and for exploitation in football Small team (3 people) and many volunteers 3 pillars: Education, Social Inclusion and Raising Awareness Actions in: Countries of origin (Romania, Africa) and destination (Belgium) Partnerships: local NGOs, private sector (ex Delhaize), government, the EU Samilia.org

Easy target for traffickers due to high level of vulnerability Why Peer to Peer education? To increase sustainable impact To empower vulnerable target population Methodology: Selection of Peers in technical (professionnel) high schools 8 Peer-to-Peer training workshops for selected students (Peer educators) and coaches 12 groups (each consisting of 2 Peer educators) will each provide 2 workshops to a whole class in technical (professionnel) high schools Posters and Essay contests Direct Impact: 400 technical (professionnel) high school students will attend the workshops 24 students trained as Peer educators 5 coaches trained to support Peer educators 30 young single mothers and their children Indirect Impact: Estimated 3,000 people: parents, families, via Facebook, side events Samilia.org
