Advanced scheduling and reminders Proposal for: Meeting Manager Advanced scheduling and reminders

What Does it do for us? * schedule reminders *Automatically finds available slots in users’ schedules for new meetings * Makes meeting agenda visible to all users.

Client Requirements * Available for many platforms, PCs, phones, PDAs, etc * Provides reminders before meetings start. * Allows scheduling of new meetings

Server Requirements * Database to keep records of all users’ schedules * A front end for the client to hide implementation-specifics * Does all processing for automatic scheduling. * Easy, modern database engines do most of the work for us.

Client/Server Protocol * Must provide easy extension for new features in the future. * Client should be able to get a user’s schedule in part or full * Client can request the time of the ‘next upcoming meeting’ * Client can send meeting schedule requests to the server.

Target Audience * Middle Managers * Small Business Owners * This is a program many managers want.

Support * We support it, clients connect to a central server * We charge a monthly fee to pay for the support. * Allows meetings to be scheduled between different companies * Eliminates the need for a protocol between servers.

Feasability * All required technologies currently exist * With expanding wireless networks, assuming a client is always connected to the internet isn’t very risky.
