Primary Newsletter – Friday 20th October 2017 POWER HOUR – CHARITY PLANNING During ‘Power Hour’ on the 16th October, 5E held a Afternoon Tea in our primary hall for their family and friends to raise money for Lewisham Hospital Children’s Ward Charity. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and especially liked eating the cakes! ROWING CLUB Congratulations to Noah in year 6 for being awarded the fastest primary boy to complete 10,000m in Rowing extra curricular club . ‘Thank you to Mr Simmons for enabling me to achieve this.’ POWER HOUR – PORTRAIT WORKSHOP During Power Hour this half term, half of class 5W have been working on self portraits. Have a look at a few examples below. Can you recognise them from their portraits? . HARVEST Many thanks for all of the kind donations for our Harvest Festival. All donations are going to Lewisham food Bank. . SMA PRIMARY FOOTBALL TEAM The Year 5 football team played the John Ball Year 6 team this week. As a new team, they played really well and made us proud. Eryn was presented with the man of the match award. Thank you to Mr Szwejkowski for all of his hard work and effort in creating our new team. .

PARENTPAY  The Academy is aiming to go cashless by October half term, removing the facility to use cash and cheques to pay for payment items such as dinner money, school trips and uniform etc. Payment items can be paid online using your credit or debit card through a secure website called ParentPay. ParentPay will be our preferred method of making payments to school.
