Simple Present Tense: Main Uses Everyday activities: What do you do every day? How often? Routines, habits and costumes General truths: nature related mostly.

Adverbs of frequency: Adverb % Example Always 100% Mary always does her bed at 7 o’clock in the morning. Usually 90% I usually take a shower at 6: 30 in the morning. Generally 80% Henry generally takes the bus at 8: 15 in the evening. Often 70% They often have lunch at noon. sometimes 50% He sometimes drinks milk. Ocasionally 30% I ocasionally go to the cafeteria around 7: 45 Seldom/ rarely 10% I seldom go to the movies. Hardly ever 5% I hardly ever go dancing. Never 0% She never cuts the grass. We use adverbs to describe how frequently we do an activity.

Yes/ No questions Do + I / you / we / they + verb + ? Yes, I/you we/they do. No, I/you we/they do not. Does he / she / it + verb + ? Yes, He/ She/ It does. No, He/ She/ It does not.

Wh questions Wh word+ do/ does+ subject+main verb+complement? Ex. Where does she work? She works in New York. What do you do on weekends? I study music.
