Midterm Review (closed book) Phonetics Be able to provide the descriptive terms for both English consonants and vowels (voicing, place of articulation, manner of articulation for Cs - height, backness, rounding, tenseness for Vs) Be able to fill in blank English consonant chart Transcribe from IPA into English spelling = cat Be able to identify phonetic processes (will be given a list of processes to choose from) Midterm total points = 100 // Phonetics section = 57 points
