Transferring old presentations
Coping slides from an old presentation Open the old presentation and select the slides that you would like to copy (hold down the shift key to select multiple slides) Copy the slides by right-clicking on the thumbnails and selecting copy (Shortcut: CMD+c on PC or CMD+c on Mac) Intro Deck
Pasting existing slides into the new template You can paste old slides into a new slide deck by placing the cursor in the position in the thumbnail overview where you want to place them, right click on the thumbnails and click paste (Shortcut: CMD+v on PC or CMD+v on a Mac) VERY IMPORTANT: To make sure that old slides use the master slides from the new template, click the small submenu and select USE DESTINATION THEME Intro Deck
Reset slides to new template Sometimes PowerPoint does not transfer the formatting of the new template, but keeps the formatting of the old template VERY IMPORTANT: Click HOME > RESET to force PowerPoint to use the formatting of the new template Intro Deck
Change the layout style of a slide This is the most important step to acknowledge when transferring slides from an old presentation If a slide master from an old presentation is named differently or wrong, the master will be copied over to the new template. Select the right layout style by clicking Home > Layout and e.g. Title + Content – group to select the right layout for that slide Intro Deck
