Parsha ויצא Yaakov’s Journey by Daniel This weeks parsha is focusing on Jacob , son of Isaac and grandson of Avraham.

Jacob had an older brother Esav who Isaac liked best Jacob had an older brother Esav who Isaac liked best. Rebecca loved Jacob though. Isaac was going to give a blessing to Esav so he will carry on the legacy of Bnei Yisrael which Jacob and Rebecca totally disagreed. Rebecca made a goat skinned coat for Jacob and when he puts it on Jacob will trick Isaac into giving Jacob the blessing because the goat skinned coat was hairy like Esav.

Esav was furious and wanted to kill Jacob. Isaac was very confused and Rebecca told Jacob to go to his uncles house (lavan) and marry one of his daughters. Jacob stopped at Mount Moriah on the way. He rested on a rock and had a dream of angels climbing down and up that goes to heaven. Hashem told Jacob that he would bequeath the entire land to his descendants . Hashem also told Jacob that he would be safe until he reached Canaan by G-D’s protection.
