Learning Target: I will experiment, plan and create a work of art and design that explore a personally meaningful theme, idea or concept in my alter-ego portrait using Adobe: Illustrator. Success Criteria: Did I find an interesting Self-portrait to transform into a superhero or a mythical creature? Did I successfully apply the elements and principles of design to my portrait design? Did I successfully use the tools in illustrator to cover the entire page? Did I successfully add detail into my drawing EX: Value, Shadows, Highlights, Texture, detail in the eyes; hair, lips and layers for depth? Did I successfully add an interesting background that goes with my Portrait? Did you set your Art board no smaller than 8.5x11 Inches with the color of CMYK? Helpful hint. You can use Tuts Plus tutorials to find out how to create special effects in illustrator for example an orb, fire, glowing effect and glitter/sparkle etc.
