How do I sign in to Classroom? Sign in for the first time 1. Go to classroom.google.com and click Sign In. ICT & Statistics Center

How to join a class First way: Join a class with a class code. 1. At the top, click Add +  Join class. 2. Enter the class code your teacher gave you and click Join. A class code consists of 6 or 7 letters or numbers. For example, hjhmgrk or g5gdp1. ICT & Statistics Center

Second way: accept an invitation from your teacher On the class card, click Join. (Optional), to see if your teacher included a class overview, at the top, click About. ICT & Statistics Center Note: Only your teacher can change the class image. Shaimaa Q. Sabri

View your work You can view your work on the class card, in the stream, or on the To-do page. (Optional) Click a title to see any instructions. ICT & Statistics Center

View work in the class stream Click the class. Click a title to see any instructions or feedback. (Optional) To add a class comment, click Add class comment or number class comment at the top. Enter your comment and click Post. (Optional) To send your teacher a private comment, click Add private comment. Enter your comment and click Post. ICT & Statistics Center

View work on the To-do page Click Menu   To-do from stream then click a title . (Optional) To add a class comment, click Add class comment. Enter your comment and click Post. (Optional) To send your teacher a private comment, click Add private comment. Enter your comment and click Post. (Optional) To filter your work by class, go back to the To-do page. Click All classes and select a class. (Optional) To see any work you already submitted, click Done at the top. If the work is graded, the grade is listed. Click a title to see any feedback. All your work for a class in one place On the Classroom homepage, on a class, click Your work Click the class. At the top, click About  Your work  ICT & Statistics Center

Whether the work is assigned, turned in, done late, or missing. The list of work for the class—assignments, questions, or quizzes—assigned to you with the due date, if there is one. Whether the work is assigned, turned in, done late, or missing. Your grades for work that’s been graded. If you attached any files to an assignment or question. (Optional) To filter your work, under Filters , If there are private comments between you and your teacher. You’ll see Comment   next to the work. (Optional) To see attachments, comments, or view additional details for an assignment or question, click the work. (Optional) To filter your work, under Filters , click Assigned, Returned with grade, or Missing. ICT & Statistics Center

Submit an assignment Click the class and then click the assignment. If there’s a form attached to the assignment Click the form and answer the questions. Click Submit  Mark as done and confirm. If the form is the only work, your assignment is marked Done. If there's more to do for the assignment, click Open assignment. ICT & Statistics Center

Answer a question Click the class. You’ll see the question in the stream. If there's an attachment, click it to review it. Enter your answer, click Submit, and confirm. Note: You can't click Submit if you haven't entered an answer. (Optional) To add a class comment, click Add class comment, enter the comment, and click Post. (Optional) If you have a private question or comment for your teacher, click the question, click Add private comment, enter your comment, and click post. ICT & Statistics Center .Note: If your teachers allows, you may see your classmates answers after you submit your own answer. Set up notifications Student can receive an email and mobile notification from Classroom whenever: A teacher invites you to a new class. A teacher creates a new assignment, question, or announcement. A teacher grades or returns work. Anyone comments on your post or mentions you in a post or comment. A teacher sends you a private note. Notifications are on by default and you can specify which notifications you want to receive. ICT & Statistics Center

Click any notification to turn it on or off. Set up notifications At the top, click Menu Click any notification to turn it on or off. Click Settings (you might need to scroll down). ICT & Statistics Center (Optional) To turn all notifications off, at Receive email notifications, click Turn off .

Access other areas of Classroom Students, click Menu   to access other areas of Classroom. Classes—Students, navigate to any of classes. Calendar—Students, see your class calendars. Work—To see all assignments and posts for your classes, Settings—Manage your password, profile photo, and notifications. ICT & Statistics Center
