Last GSC-17 HoD Teleconference TTA proposed Web-based Electronic Meeting as a New and Novel topic to share current practices to discuss implications to working methods of PSOs to develop common understanding and best practices to identify follow up actions such as establishing a Task Force Group

Current Status Web conference Audio conference TTA ITU ETSI WebEx (up to 25 attendees) GotoMeeting GotoWebinar (up to 1000 attendees) Adobe Connect (up to 25/75 attendees) (up to 1000 attendees,) Audio conference VoIP TTA audio conference service ITU audio conference service (PSTN) Rphone (Integrated in Adobe Connect) ETSI audio conference service (PSTN)

TTA Current Status Operation Rules Operation Guidelines Article 54. Promotion of Online Standardization Activities The TTA President shall conduct and manage any standardization activities electronically in order to implement the standardization procedures promptly and transparently, and relevant work activities efficiently, and facilitate cooperation with international organizations or foreign standardization bodies. Operation Guidelines Article 6. Holding of Meetings The chairman may hold face-to-face, paper (including e-mail) and online meetings by considering necessity and importance of meetings.

Issues of Electronic Meeting Attendee may encounter various unstable network/system situations during meeting Case 1: an attendee is off the meeting Case 2: an attendees can’t speak and/or listen Case 3: an attendees is on and off the meeting Countermeasure chairman may checks availability of attendees at the end of meeting if they had any issues regarding connection problem attendee may send email notice of his/her problems to chairman after the meeting Is it reasonable if chairman invalidates unsatisfied meeting? For example, More than 30 % of attendees were on and off during meeting Major attendee was off the meeting with connection problem

Proposal TTA suggests to have task force to share information on working method of electronic meeting current rules and procedures of each PSO to support electronic meeting aiming to develop the common guideline which PSO may apply to their electronic meeting.
