Overview Build a foundation in Statistics Complete projects mostly in class about real world situations “Crunch” numbers to make informed decisions Discussion and Presentations in small groups and full class on real world situations
Expectations Students and Teacher will bring Binders/Notebook, Textbook and Pencil to class Students and Teacher will be respectful to others Students and Teacher will participate in the lessons and activities
Prob/Stat Please take handout Materials daily binder or notebook with folder Calculator and pencil/pen Respect daily Grading System standard HW 10% and CW/Part 15% Tests 25% Quizzes 25% Mid/Final 25%
Homework 10% About 4 times per week NO FRIDAY HW Studying always if written work is not assigned Checked for completeness Questions gone over next day One and done policy
Quiz and Test 25% each Quizzes can be anytime announced or not Tests about a weeks notice Projects will count as a test grade Normally we review one day before tests If students are out for review day will still take the test when they return
Class work /Participation 15% Work collected in class Participation in groups and classroom discussions Staying on task for time allotted for Projects Positive for most students
Midterm\Final 25% each End of each marking period 25% Always cumulative Jan & June 2 hours 2 exams per day
