Communications, advertising and branding started to become more important as companies needed to sell the increasing outputs of production. Digital marketing is the promotion of products or brands through various forms of electronic media. Marketing often has a persuasive intent, but it commonly begins when a company identifies customer needs and seeks to explain how its products or services meet those needs. Drawbacks include the constantly changing environment and pressures to meet deadlines.
