1.3 Weekly Time Card Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016

1.3 Weekly Time Card OBJECTIVE: VOCABULARY: Calculate the total hours on a weekly time card. VOCABULARY: Weekly time card

Get Ready! Why is it important to accurately record your hours at work? Daniela makes $9.75 an hour helping customers at a bicycle rental shop. She kept track of her hours every day this week, and now she wants to know her gross income.

TIME CARDS At your job at the cinema, you are required to keep track of your hours on a WEEKLY TIME CARD. This is a daily record of the time you report to work and the time you depart. You COMPUTE the hours you worked each day. At the end of the week, you add the number of daily hours to find the total number of hours worked. If you do not work an entire hour, round your time to the nearest quarter hour. TOTAL HOURS = SUM OF DAILY HOURS
