What is the importance of a raft?

RAFT RAFT is an acronym to help us properly structure our writing There are two RAFT acronyms: Whole Writing Piece Paragraph/Answer Form

Rationale Almost all RAFT writing assignments are written from a viewpoint other than the student’s, to another audience rather than to the teacher, and in a form different from the ordinary theme You are the expert who is writing to an audience who has no idea!

RAFT #1: Whole Writing Structure All authors need to consider various aspects before every writing assignment. Your writing is going to be structured around these elements: Role of the writer (R) Audience (A) Format (F) Topic plus a strong verb (T)

RAFT #1: Whole Writing Structure Role of the writer (R) Who or what are you as the author? *Scientist *Car *George Washington

RAFT #1: Whole Writing Structure Audience (A) To Whom is this written? *A friend *Police Officer *Parent
