Bazzaz 2018 What is it all about? Bazzaz is Surrey Scouts triennial event for Beaver Scouts (6-8 year olds). After many years of sharing our Scout event, Scoutabout, with the Guides, it was decided to open Bazzaz up to Rainbows. It is a fun day with a large array of activities, some bought in and some smaller. Some activities are skills based and some are creative, craft-based activities.

Bazzaz 2018 Where is it? This year, Bazzaz is moving to a new venue – Merrist Wood in Guildford

Bazzaz 2018 What does it cost? Beavers & Rainbows: £20.00 (plus transport from your district) Leaders – Free Each group is responsible for arranging their own transport to and from the event. To ease congestion, please seriously consider travelling by minibus or coach, rather than cars. In order to secure your registration a deposit of £90 is required at the time of registration.

Bazzaz 2018 What is expected from you? We are asking all units and colonies to provide an activity. It can be simple or elaborate and, of course, expenses can be charged to the event to cover the cost of the activity. A risk assessment will be required. We also ask each district or division to provide activities and support their leaders. You will need to supervise the young people during their lunch break when all activities will be closed. Organise the registrations and permission forms via the booking site.

Bazzaz 2018 How do we get involved? Register interest using the online booking system which can be found on the Surrey Scouts Bazzaz site. Send the deposit. Promote the event to your Rainbows Decide what activity you want to offer and register it via the booking site.
