Elite Feet Training January-April team preparation 5. Academy Training New 2017 Season Outline 7. Team Meeting/Outline Compete for a Championship! 8. EWSC 2018 Goals EWSC Strong! 10. Thank You! Thank you for taking the time to be here tonight. It is important for you to hear about the program and changes we are making season to season. My name is Shari Lenz – I was recently married in the beginning of October and am still adjusting to the name change. A little background on myself I grew up in Brooklyn Park, MN and went to Champlin Park High School. I was a three sport varsity athlete in high school and continued my soccer career at the University of Minnesota. At Minnesota apart of a Big Ten Championship and two Sweet Sixteen Appearances. I graduated with a double major in Business and Marketing I went into the corporate world for a couple years and really missed the game and being on the field every day I am passionate about soccer and player/coach development. I am excited about developing the next generation of soccer and offering a higher level of coaching to every player at Eagan Wave!

EWSC Mission Statement We Strive to be an elite community club that provides a positive soccer experience for players of all levels. EWSC’s goal is to offers the Best Training, Best Development, and Best Experience to every player in the program. Leadership Team President Skip Newton Director of Coaching Shari Lenz Director of Player Development Carlos Vargas Youth Director John Willy Regardless of game results at Eagan Wave we want to provide every player a fantastic experience – we want them to love the game, be excited to come to the field, and continue to play for many years to come. Skip – Thank you - Skip. Skip is a fantastic president and is very supportive of the direction the club is headed - we are lucky to have him as the leader of our program. Carlos – has been with Eagan Wave for over 10 years. He is an incredible trainer and is my co-pilot out on the field 5-7 days a week.

EWSC Fall 2017 Recap Fall League Champions TCSL U11 TCSL Regional Boys – Carlos Vargas U14 TCSL State Boys – Roman Spehn U11 MYSA C3 Girls – Rachel Mudek U12 MYSA C3 Girls – Kari Janes 1st season in Minnesota TCSL Competitive season, teams and games Positive Within 30 miles – Twin Cities based clubs Travel Similar size and goals Clubs Vs team pass Club pass TCSL – The league started this fall and I am very glad we took the opportunity to place some of our teams in the league Created the league to create a more competitive environment for teams in the twin cities and have less travel for families The league is formed by clubs with similar size, goals, philosophies – we have competition right here we do not need to travel far for good games Biggest challenge with playing New Prague and Hudson is that they do not have the number of players we do they usually have 1 team at each age group. This is challenging when we have 3 or 4 and place players by ability. Often times they have players at all levels and play them at a lower level and then they crush our 3 and 4 team. It is not an ideal situation and fortunately we did not see many games like this in the Twin Cities Soccer League this fall. This Fall our teams Were very competitive on the field Did not have to travel far for away games Club pass – many teams utilized this by using players for games or tournaments. Players are not locked to a team they are locked to a club and a birth year. They cannot play down a birth year but they can play across teams at their birth year and up. Gives more opportunity to develop the entire age group from top to bottom.

Eagan Wave SC MYSA vs TCSL All U9-U13 Teams U9-U10 Red, White and Blue U11-U19 National, Regional, State, Cities No promotion or relegation DOC Advisory Panel Future of MN Soccer! U14+ Premier and Top C1 Club competition USYS Affiliation MYSA State Cup Team Pass TCSL We are in for all of our U9-U13 teams No promotion and relegations – do not want coaches and teams chasing results – focus on development and improving the game in Minnesota Natural relegation – if a team does not have a great season we are not going to place them at the same level of play the following season – unless there were some significant changes. If a team is competitive within 2-3 goals in most games then we are going to keep them there. If a team wins every game – we will push them up. DOC Advisory Panel Open discussion around rules, team placement, league results, and anything else that happens on the field during the season. MYSA Our top U14 and older top C1 and premier teams we are thinking about keeping in MYSA for the 2018 season. I am in discussion with other Directors on where they are going to place their teams from U14+. As of right now I plan to place top C1 and premier teams in MYSA and the rest of the teams in TCSL. I submit teams for the summer season at the end of February early March. Any additional questions about the league – please reach out to me.
