Baltic University Programme (BUP)
History 1991 The Programme initiated and the first course starts; the Baltic Sea Region. 1994 The BUP becomes a special unit at Uppsala University. 1995 The first course explicitly on sustainable development is published; A Sustainable Baltic Region. 2006 Baltic University Rectors’ Conference. 2007 BUP merges with CEMUS and KUS and forms Uppsala Centre for Sustainable Development. 2007 Lars Rydén resigns as Director and Christine Jakobsson takes over.
