Computer Aided Graphics In Graphic Communication we use lots of different computer programmes to create pieces of work. This is called the Computers Software. However how do we know what programme to use and why is it best for the job?

Computer Aided Graphics Desktop Publishing DTP packages like publisher allow for Text and Images to be mixed in harmony to create a powerful piece of Design. It is most commonly used to create Newsletters, Brochures, Magazines & Books.

Computer Aided Graphics Word Processing Word Processing Packages like Microsoft Word are purely a text based product. They are used to create large text based documents such as: Letters, Reports, & Essays.

Computer Aided Graphics Illustration Illustration Packages like Photoshop and Coral Draw add Colour, Tone and Texture to CAD Drawings.

Computer Aided Graphics Spreadsheets Spreadsheet Packages like EXCEL are mainly used for Financial Reports. However they are also useful for producing Graphs and Charts.

Computer Aided Graphics Graphs and Charts The main Graphs or Charts that are used are: Bar Chart: Compares Quantities Line Graph: Shows changes over Time Pie Chart: Shows Quantities or Proportions Gantt Chart: Project Schedule   Visual Impact is often better than using figures as it is easier to understand. EXCELL is a spreadsheet package that allows sales figures and facts to be changed from numbers in to images.
