Why is funding a problem? East Cheshire has the fastest ageing population in the north west (2016) Government funding does not take much notice of ageing population East Cheshire is in the bottom 20% of funded areas in England East Cheshire gets ≈ £1182/resident/year, Knowsley gets ≈ £1610/resident/year (2016-2017) At practice level some GP surgeries get ≈ £100/resident/year, whilst the national average is ≈£136/resident/year www.nhssos.org.uk
