Psychiatrist They are physicians (doctors) that have doctorate degrees. Specialize in diagnosing and treating mental illness.

Psychologist They are not doctors…they have a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree. Counsel individuals and families to help them solve their problems.

Psychiatric or Mental Health Technician Assist the psychiatrist or psychologist with test and procedures. They have an Associate degree. Work under the supervision of the psychiatrist or the psychologist

Social Worker SW They assist people who have difficulty coping with financial or social problems. Refer people to community services for help PRN. Evaluate charges of abuse and neglect.
