INFERENCES Inferences are clues readers use when they don’t have all the details. Look at the photos. Use what you already know to make an inference about what is happening. Make An Inference.

What is he feeling?

Who are these folks? Where are they going? Why?

What is this lady doing? What is she saying?

What are they laughing about?

Why are they holding skeletons?

Where is he going?

Why are these kids looking at the airplane?

What are they celebrating?

What are these kids doing? Where are they? How do they feel?

Why are these ladies above the river?

Who is this and why are they shaking hands?

Why are they in a uniform? What could they be doing?

Why is the boy being carried?

Why is everyone watching the people in the car?

INFERENCES After looking at the photos as a class and talking about our inferences, you will work with a partner to create a story about photo. Make inferences. Be creative. Include a Beginning, Middle, End to tell your story.
