Origin: Where did they come from? There are many assumptions because the origin story has been lost in history, they are They came from the Red Sea They arose from a wider group of people called the canaanites Cities Byblos, Sidon, Tyre and town around them got conquered by the sea people created the Phoenicians The Phoenicians existed but did not become differentiated from their neighbours until after the appearence of the sea people

Origin: Where did they settle? The Phoenicians settled on the coast of North Africa. Most were settled from Carthage rather than direct from Phoenicia. The Bay of Tunis provided shelter from prevailing winds and faced Sicily. They also settled colonies in Anatolia, Cyprus, and The Levant.
