Exploring and developing Level 3 I collected research to help me I have written about the pictures in some detail Level 4 I have collected research, and I have made my own pictures based on it. I have written in detail about research I have collected. Level 5 I have collected pictures. I have taken risks. I didn’t just copy. I have experimented. I have looked at the work of other artists, and thought about how to make my work like theirs. Level 6 I have worked independently – doing extra things on my own. I have thought about the meaning of different artists work. I have evidence of this. Level 7 I use my research to help me make clear decisions. I take creative risks – Im not afraid to make mistakes if I am trying something new. I can show I understand the work of different artists, and art movements.

Investigating and making Level 3 I have shown I know how to use different techniques, but I make some mistakes. I know how to make basic animations. Level 4 When I am making animations, I can do what I want, and not make mistakes. I know how to make individual frames and animate them, I can explain how to do it. Level 5 I can animations in different styles, and use animations to explore an idea. I can pick and use interesting techniques to show different ideas emotions or feelings. Level 6 I used my skill and knowledge of animating to complete exactly what I had planned in my sketchbook. Level 7 I use three different techniques creatively and with confidence. My work is imaginative. Some of my work is original.

Evaluating and developing Level 3 I can compare my work with my friends work. I have tried to make my work better. Level 4 I can discuss my work. I have thought about how to improve my own work, and then I did it. Level 5 I thought about my own work, I worked out what I did well…. ….and what I need to do next time to improve. Level 6 I have thought carefully about the meaning of my own work. I have thought carefully about the meaning of other peoples work. I use this to improve. Level 7 I can show that I understand other artists work. I can show how I use this understanding to improve my own work.
