How to join…

Practices Unless told otherwise (verbally or via Remind) Practice times are: 7th – 6:15 gym open, 6:30 start – we will go until 8:15 or so 8th – approximately 2:45 – 5:00pm Practices are closed to the public. Practices are a great barometer to know how players will handle game situations. It is imperative that players attend practices. Please communicate with your coach if you are unable to make practice. 8th Grade – bill.hornberger@gcisd.net 7th Grade – zach.haseman@gcisd.net Any missed practice may result in extra conditioning when player returns so they can return to game shape. Additionally, any missed practice may result in loss of starting position and/or playing time until player gets caught up and acclimated to be ready for the upcoming game.

Scrimmage This Wednesday November 15th starting at 5pm @ CTMS Scrimmage format is at the discretion of the host school (CTMS) 2 – 15 minute segments per team Running clock, No foul shots Same order of play as the season: 8th Grade Main Gym of CTMS – BAC 7th Grade Secondary Gym of CTMS – BAC

Games Players are expected to wear a button down shirt, tie and slacks to school for AWAY games. Players are expected to wear a spirit shirt/polo to school for HOME games. Players will ride the bus to the game and may be signed out by their parents only or ride the bus back. If requesting your son to ride home with another player from an away game, a written note explaining the circumstance and must be given to the coach before the bus leaves CMS. All players are expected to walk with a teammate if they go anywhere at an away game. (Travel in pairs)

Games All players are expected to sit behind our bench if applicable or together in the bleachers when not playing unless they have been signed out by their parent at an away game or their game is over when at a home game. Players are expected to not look to the stands to talk to parents, friends or others during their game unless it is an emergency. B and C teams will be about getting experience and playing time. If it is a close, competitive game in the 4th, it is the coaches discretion who plays. A team is more competitive. All kids will play, but minutes will vary. On game nights there will be 6 minute quarters with 5 minutes between games.
