The GIN story The GIN was created by educators of the ISL in 2003 Mission: to empower students to work internationally with their peers to develop solutions for global issues Objective: to form satellite networks of schools around the world made of actively involved students/global citizens Inspiration: JF Rischard, former World Bank Vice President Europe and his book “High Noon: 20 global problems, 20 years to solve them” – Exponential changes creating unprecedented global issues mean that complementary solutions to existing institutions are needed. The concept of networks will bring speed, flexibility and action. GIN participation encourages awareness, collaboration and action Video: web hard-disk
