Your child should read 20 minutes every night . Students need to read different genres to meet the 40 Book Challenge. The planner is located in your child’s G.O. book. Grammar: I can identify adjective as a part of speech. Phonics: I can spell words with short i and long i (ex trip, time). Writing: I can write a personal narrative. Math: I can learn about the place value of numbers to 1,000. I will also learn about comparing these numbers. Social Sciences: I can make observations from media to obtain information about Earth's events that happen over a short period of time (e.g., tornados, volcanic explosions, earthquakes) or over a time period longer than one can observe (e.g., erosion of rocks, melting of glaciers).
