Table of Contents 4. Hiring An All-Star Team A Real Option Skill Development 4. Hiring An All-Star Team A Real Option Today’s Employee Hiring a Transitioner Never Stop Acquiring Knowledge Character Counts

Hiring An All-Star Team 5- Tips To Hiring The Right Team Job Application: Make sure your job application includes space to answer questions about previous employers, references, and contact information. Have a Disclaimer: Your disclaimer should plainly state that any misleading or false information will terminate the applicant from the hiring process. Require Consent: Require the applicant to give consent to contact previous and current employers, as well as references. Ask The Right Questions: Ask both employers and references questions based on what the applicant was asked to provide on the application. Keep Score: Take detailed notes on who you contacted, who you spoke to, the date and time you spoke, and how many times it took to reach the person. Also take the time to document their answers to your questions.

A Real Option Recareering or Career Changers Seniors-Are Working Longer and Smarter Millions of Americans are not abruptly leaving the labor force at retirement age but seeking new careers—sometimes in the same line of work but frequently in an entirely new field. About three in ten late-life career changes are the result of layoffs or failing businesses. Older workers, especially retirees, who downshift into part-time work end up in less stressful jobs. Expanding public workforce development initiatives for older adults and non-native speakers with limited skills could open up employment opportunities. More training for these populations could give them the confidence to move into new careers and help them achieve more financial security.

Today’s Employee You Never Met Anyone Like This Group Key Characteristics Zero Loyalty to “The Company” Ready to Strike Out On Their Own? Kelly Services reported: a. 51% of Gen Y are prepared to accept a lower wage or a lesser role if their work contributes to something more important or meaningful. b. 62 % of Gen X plan to look for a new job within a year. c. 46 % of baby boomers say their career goals are not being advanced in their current job. Feed your employees’ needs for Physic–Income: a. Social Acceptance. b. Self Esteem. c. Self Realization that can never be met through compensation.

Hiring Are Transitioner Upside of Career Assessment Career Assessment is an individualized process designed to assist in determining unique abilities, aptitudes, interests and needs of the individual for realistic future planning as a worker. By evaluating your life and going through Career Coaching, you might be able to find a position that is more suited to your needs.    Career Coaching: Helps find skills that make you more adept at your job which will help you to excel as well as to have more self fulfillment.

Never Stop Acquiring Knowledge Knowledge Is Power Obtain as much subject-matter knowledge as you can.    You don’t have to know everything, but you should have extraordinary knowledge about something relative to your business.  Never stop acquiring knowledge.  It’s important that your employer views you as smart.  “Always be associated with a task nobody else can do.”

Character Counts Somebody Is Watching You Govern yourself with impeccable integrity.   Remember, adversity breeds strength. Be Present, keep your mind where you are.
