THE GOOD NEWS OF SALVATION There are so many who are lost! Matthew 7:13-14 The way is broad that leads to destruction, and MANY are those who enter by it. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not wanting anyone to perish, but for everyone to come to repentance. Romans 10:14 How can they hear without a preacher? All need to hear the word of Christ.

What do we typically do when we have good news? THE GOOD NEWS OF SALVATION Why have we today not been as successful as they were? Is the GOOD NEWS not as good? What do we typically do when we have good news?

3 Things for All of Us to Do THE GOOD NEWS OF SALVATION 3 Things for All of Us to Do Colossians 4:2 “Devote yourselves to prayer.” The word devote is from a Greek word which means “to persist, to give constant attention to, to give unremitting care, to persevere, to be in constant readiness for, to endure in.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17 “Pray without ceasing.”

1. Pray for This Church THE GOOD NEWS OF SALVATION Prayer is the power behind many good things. Ephesians 6:19-20 Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

2. Pray for Opportunities THE GOOD NEWS OF SALVATION 2. Pray for Opportunities Paul would pray for a door to be opened. He had a passion for people who were lost. He had a real desire to tell others about what God had done for him. We too should pray for opportunities to share the good news with others.
