Analyse a film poster.

Horror. WHAT- Smashed glass. Half of a human (face). Half of a skeleton (face). Title. Quotations. Release date. Main image. HOW- The image of the half women/skeleton it looks like they have fell onto the glass. The back ground is dark, the glass had deliberate meant to be broken. The title is all in capitals because it mean something could be serious/telling you something. WHY- The glass has been constructed like that because it could be related to the film , the title is all in capitals and white to stand out on the black background. “REST IN PIECES” that is related to the main image in a way.

Comedy WHAT- A man with a golf club. Title. Main image. Quotations. Actors names. HOW- The man must be the main actor of the film, the camera is in the golf hole looking up at the actor this makes him a lot bigger and makes him and the golf ball stand out. WHY- The camera is in the golf hole because to make him and the golf ball stand out from the blue sky, the colours are primary like red, green and blue, if your going golfing you meant dress up mart but he is dressed up casual.

Action. WHAT- A man. A women. Time on his arm. Title. Actors names. HOW- There is a women and a man in majority of the main image. The actors on the front cover is black and white and a shade of blue, and the time on his arm is green to make it stand out from the background because the film is called “IN TIME”. WHY- This shows that they must be the main actors of the film, the title is at the bottom of the page to not interfear with the image because that’s the main image and its trying to tell you what the film is all about.

Romance. WHAT- Title. Main image. Release date. Actors names. Quotations. HOW- The image of the man and women are the main attractions of the cover, the colours are like a sunset related. Title is in middle of the page in bold “The LAST SONG”. WHY- The tile is bald “ The LAST SONG” this shows that the song must be related to a last song; the main image were the man is in the sunlight , but then there’s them two together at the bottom.
