Project structure Overall objective is to assure sustainable use of natural resources and sustainability and resilience of ecosystems through the involvement of civil society in decision-making Ecosystem based management approaches are integrated in the marine strategy process in the Arctic Sustainable river basin management Improved environmental performance of extractive industries

Improved environmental performance of extractive industries assessment of EIA and other project documentation of the active projects in the region Calculate Environmental Responsibility Rating of Oil and mining Companies in Russia and disseminate it’s outcomes in the region train CSO and communities in the Barents region on using legal mechanism for protection of the right to the clean environment, to public participation in environmental decision-making (via participation in EIA, Public councils, commenting drafts of regulation).
