Objectives Identify who are our stakeholders. What are some digital, visual, oral, and print methods to communicate with each of them. What type of content should you put out. How often should you be communicating information to each stakeholder (realistically).

What are we talking about here? Why do we need to communicate to each stakeholder? How are we communicating to each stakeholder? What are we communicating to them? Informing what programs are available and how to get involved. Basic rules and procedures. Inquire collaborations Request donations Sharing upcoming events Look at each group and see how they are already best communicating Find a need and fill it!

Create Your Brand: 3-5 Pillars Think about the purpose of your programs. What are the main qualities you want your program to embody/focus on? Refer to your vision/mission statements of library media, school, and district programs.

How to reach: Students Platforms Content: What is relevant to them? What's going on in their other classes? What resources are helpful to them? What engages them? Surveys- get them invested and show them your program needs/goals align to theirs. Committees- book selection, morning show, writing, social media, book reviewers, etc. Upcoming events- Book fairs, author visits, field trips. Delegate! Do’s Don’ts Make it look professional If you manage multiple accounts, make sure you are on the correct one. Always look back to your “pillars” for reference Enlist parents, teachers, and parents to reach out and tg your accounts instead of just sending to you (more interaction for sharing and likes) Just DO IT! Don’ts Make this another full time job/hat all by yourself Wait until you feel “comfortable” “read enough“ on the subject Compare yourself to others negatively. They don’t have your exact audience and pillars.
