Project Description Through a thorough market analysis and research, Global Sustain’s position in the sustainability consulting industry will be determined, with special focus in the United Kingdom and Germany. Once a profile is drafted, conclusions and recommendations for futures strategies will be made.

Project Scope & Target Markets The project aims to define and analyze the sustainability consulting industry, globally and with a special focus in the United Kingdom and Germany, as well as the key players operating in said industry. Furthermore, an identification of trends will be made as well as potential opportunities and threats the market presents. Key local and global directives, initiatives, frameworks, regulations, and policies will also be taken into account. May require more than one slide

Porter’s 5 Forces Analysis of the Industry

Competition Industry is highly competitive, with numerous prestigious firms internationally recognized and praised. In the United Kingdom, important firms include AccountAbility, SustAinability, Futerra, Forum for the Future, Corporate Citizenship, among others. In Germany, key players include ARUP, BSD Consulting, EuPD, and Dornier Consulting Group. Firms specialized in environmental consulting benefit from standing in a niche and face less. Competition is constantly changing, with existing incumbents facing the continuous emergence of new firms.

Action Plan: MARKET PENETRATION Expected Outcomes: Improve the company’s competitiveness and increase market share by Taking advantage of the opportunities of the environment as well as the strengths of Global Sustain Tackling one of the main weaknesses: its weak competitive position. Reaching new customers Global Sustain has several options to implement the market penetration strategy advised: Launch of an extensive marketing and promotion campaign in Germany and the UK. This option can be combined with switching non-users into users, for example by targeting start-ups with an intense promotion campaign. May require more than one slide
